The Process

How Music Visualization Works

Audio Analysis

Your song, decoded

When you upload an MP3, WAV, or FLAC file, the engine decodes the audio to a raw waveform and extracts two layers of information: an amplitude envelope that captures the song's loudness over time (the quiet intro, the rising chorus, the final fade), and a frequency spectrum that maps the tonal character across bass, midrange, and treble.

These two datasets form an audio fingerprint - a numeric signature that includes the song's overall energy, dynamic range, bass-to-treble ratio, and the positions of its loudest peaks. No two songs produce the same fingerprint.

3D Visualization

Three modes, each uniquely shaped by your song

You choose how that fingerprint becomes art. Each mode uses the full audio fingerprint - amplitude, spectrum, and per-song hash seed - to generate geometry that is mathematically unique to your track.

Vortex Flagship

The audio fingerprint drives a parametric harmonic surface - a tunnel of concentric rings whose cross-sections are sculpted by Fourier harmonics. Bass frequencies shape the broad oval distortions, midrange adds trefoil folds, and treble carves fine detail. Loud passages produce dramatic, angular geometry; quiet passages relax into smooth circles. A per-song hash seed sets unique phase offsets and twist rates, guaranteeing that every song produces a fundamentally different three-dimensional silhouette - even two tracks with similar energy levels will spiral in completely different ways.

Terrain

Maps frequency data onto a landscape mesh, turning the spectrum into rolling hills and ridgelines viewed from an angle - the topography of your song rendered as physical geography. Bass energy controls the broad elevation contours, treble adds fine surface texture, and the song's dynamic range determines how dramatic the peaks and valleys become.

Orb

Displaces an icosahedron sphere using the same harmonic fingerprint, producing a glowing, organically deformed object - part planet, part sculpture. The orb is lit with dramatic three-point lighting and a soft ambient halo. Each frequency band pushes and pulls the surface in different harmonic modes, so a bass-heavy track produces a very different shape than an airy vocal piece.

From Screen to Wall

Print-quality rendering

The live preview renders in your browser using Three.js and WebGL. When you're ready, the engine captures the visualization at maximum resolution and sends it to our render server, which upscales to print-quality DPI, composites your custom text (song title, artist, date, dedication), and delivers a finished file ready for museum-quality paper and archival inks.

Every print is real data, rendered - not generated, not approximated. Your song, your shape, your wall.
